Continuing the discussion from Proposal: Gnosis DAO Delegate Dashboard , which has been created by my colleague Vivek.

Executive Summary

Problem:

Gnosis DAO governance faces fragmented delegate information and low participation due to:

  • Token holders manually compiling delegate data from multiple sources
  • Lack of timely governance updates for delegates
  • Absence of standardized metrics for evaluating delegate performance

Solution:

Fund the development of Gov Navigator, a two-pronged system to:

  1. Delegate Dashboard: Centralize delegate analytics (activity, alignment, influence)
  2. Privacy-First Telegram Bot: Automate governance notifications without personal data

Ecosystem Benefits:

  • Projected increase in delegate participation
  • Reduction in token holder research time
  • Improved transparency for informed delegation decisions

About PYOR

PYOR specializes in crypto research and analytics. The team has over 10 years of experience building in the crypto space. We are backed by leading investors like Castle Island Ventures and Coinbase Ventures and work with teams like Arbitrum, Cosmos, Ribbit Capital, Compound, etc.

PYOR is an official delegate for Wormhole and zkSync, committed to contributing to the success of both DAOs.

Motivation

Effective governance is the foundation of any successful DAO. At Gnosis, we’ve observed growing challenges that hinder the collective decision-making processes. Delegate information is scattered across multiple platforms in threads, making it difficult for token holders to evaluate whom to trust with their voting power. Meanwhile, delegates struggle to stay informed about new proposals and voting deadlines.

Gov Navigator aims to address these practical challenges by providing a comprehensive solution that serves both delegates and token holders. By centralizing delegate information, standardizing performance metrics, and implementing a privacy-focused notification system, we can significantly improve governance participation and transparency.

Specification

The Gov Navigator will deliver two integrated components to enhance governance transparency and participation:

1. Delegate Dashboard

Component Functionality
Macro Metrics Proposal trends (success rates, categories), voting power distribution (Gini coefficient), delegate onboarding rates
Delegate Profiles Activity (votes made/missed), alignment (vs. outcomes), influence (voting power share), proposal-level insights
Proposal Views Compare delegate voting patterns, visualize voting timelines, track lifecycle stages

2. Telegram Bot

Feature Functionality
Automated Alerts New proposals (with summaries), voting deadlines (48h/24h/1h reminders), execution updates
Privacy Design Closed group access, no personal data required

Rationale

Community Consensus:

  • Feedback received by delegates (@lefterisjp, @Viszla) for addressing engagement gaps
  • Aligns with GnosisDAO’s strategic focus on governance health

Alternatives Considered:

  • We rejected a native app approach due to reliance on third-party infrastructure
  • Tally/Curia: Limited to passive dashboards without proactive engagement tools

Why Our Team?

PYOR has established itself as a trusted analytics provider in the blockchain ecosystem, with a proven track record in developing governance analytics solutions for leading protocols such as:

  • Arbitrum: Developed LTIPP Incentive Program Analytics dashboard
  • Compound Finance: Created a comprehensive lending and yield tracker dashboard with borrower/supplier metrics
  • EigenLayer: Built a complete dashboard tracking assets delegated, delegators, operators, and AVSs
  • ICP: Developed a governance and DAO rewards visualization system
  • Cosmos: Delivered consumer chain and validators analytics

Our experience directly aligns with the requirements of the Gnosis Gov Navigator project, demonstrating proficiency in:

  • Governance analytics and dashboard development
  • Delegate performance metrics
  • Notification systems for timely updates
  • Custom metrics development for protocol-specific needs

PYOR’s service quality is characterized by regular data updates, multiple communication channels, and flexible output formats. Our existing technical infrastructure is already configured to deliver the proposed features of Gov Navigator, including on-chain analytics integration, advanced visualization capabilities, and custom formula development for governance-specific metrics.

@AakashPYOR , Curious as to who exactly rejected this approach? Was it an assessment made by your team?

We have had nothing but positive feedback from all our vendors and users who have tested our app. Loose statements like this are unnecessarily damaging without context.

If there are private conversations, I would urge people to carry out discussions in public so concerns and questions can be proactively addressed in a public space.

Would be great to have clarification on this matter. cc/ @lefterisjp , @Viszla, @john_szczepaniak

I am sorry but at what point did I support this proposal? Don’t mistake asking questions as supporting.

Hey Arnold. I can see that the wording on this is confusing. Let me elaborate and clarify.

What I meant is that we rejected a native app approach on the native app approach for a delegate dashboard, especially if it trickles down into distribution (via TG and Email) as this would involve sharing of personal information. Hence, “we” internally rejected the idea. There have been no private conversations with the GnosisDAO community about this. Every discussion has been on public forums, and hopefully on a public Snapshot as well.

Understood. Amending this to avoid miscommunication.

This discussion saw feedback (not support) from delegates (@lefterisjp and @Viszla).
