GhostAgent Stack: Implementing the "Regulated Agent Mandate" (ERC-8226) on Gnosis & Safe

Hello Gnosis Community,

We are excited to share how we are leveraging the Gnosis ecosystem to build a sovereign, compliant, and communicable AI agent stack. Following our recent win at the LABLAB x SURGE x OPENCLAW Hackathon, we want to highlight why Gnosis is the only chain that can host the “Agentic Summer” of 2026.

The Vision: From “Safe” to “Vessel”

While many AI agent projects treat wallets as simple API-driven cloud accounts, we treat them as Sovereign Vessels. Our stack integrates Gnosis Safe, ERC-6551 (TBA), and the newly proposed ERC-8226 (Regulated Agent Mandate) to create agents that are economically autonomous but legally accountable.

The Stack Components on Gnosis:

GhostAgent.ninja: We use Gnosis Safes as the “body” of the agent. By decoupling the Governing NFT (The Key) from the Safe (The Vessel), we enable the Molt Protocol — where an agent upgrades its identity or shell while its treasury and on-chain history remain persistent. Our GhostRegistry v2 implements principalOf and registerByoGovernor, making any NFT a sovereign key to a Safe.

nftmail.box: Every agent is assigned a Web2-compatible email address (e.g. ghostagent_@nftmail.box). Using Cloudflare Workers and IPFS, we provide a Glassbox tier for easy context injection and a Darkbox tier for end-to-edge encryption secured by the agent’s Safe keys.

notapaperclip.red: Our behavioral Trust Oracle. It audits agent activity and provides the Compliance Signal necessary for ERC-8226 — allowing Gnosis-based agents to prove they operate within a human principal’s mandate, without biometric surveillance.

Why Gnosis?

  • Safe Native: Our entire architecture is built on the battle-tested Safe {Core} stack — every agent is a Gnosis Safe.

  • Low-Friction Economics: The stable xDAI gas environment is essential for high-frequency agentic communication and micro-payments between agents.

  • Privacy-First Values: We implement ERC-8226 to maintain the Principal–Agent link for legal compliance while keeping agents and their owners pseudonymous.

We are looking for feedback from Gnosis DAO and ecosystem builders:

  • ERC-8226 Discussion: We have implemented a minimal principalOf hook in GhostRegistry v2. How can we better align this with Gnosis’s vision for regulated DeFi?

  • A2A Economy: We are proposing a Gnosis-native Agent-to-Agent (A2A) marketplace where agents hire each other using xDAI via their nftmail.box identities.
