After extensive internal discussions and reviewing all the valuable feedback from the forum, I want to share an update on the Gnosis Pay GNO Cashback Programme.
We all agree that incentives are essential for early-stage growth. However, it has also become clear that the current cashback model needs to evolve to remain sustainable, fair, and scalable as Gnosis Pay continues to grow.
We will soon onboard new wallet partners that will join Zeal, Picnic, and Rebind in issuing Gnosis Pay cards — each with different approaches to incentivizing their users. As our ecosystem expands, keeping the same cashback structure would become too costly and difficult to scale effectively.
We understand that this change may not please everyone, especially users with higher spending volumes, but these adjustments are made to ensure long-term growth and fairness across all users.

Season 1 of cashbacks runs until Jan 31, 2026
- Cashback will continue without interruption.
- Until Nov 8 23:59 UTC, 2025 all cashback rules from GIP-110 apply.
- From Nov 9, 2025 00:00 UTC, we’ll move to adjusted weekly spending caps tiered by GNO holdings based on the table below.
- Cashbacks will be fully funded by Gnosis Ltd., not the DAO.
- These updates are designed to reward genuine users and make the programme more sustainable while keeping it attractive.
Season 2 GNO Incentive Programmes (from Feb 1, 2026)
- We’ll move beyond cashback — partner wallets will design their own incentive programmes tailored to their users.
- GNO budgets to wallet partners will be allocated based on reaching KPIs.
- Partner wallets can opt-in to end the Season 1 and start the Season 2 earlier than Feb 1, 2026.
- The goal is to make incentives more flexible for wallets, scalable, and performance-based while empowering our ecosystem partners to innovate.
We truly appreciate all the feedback that helped shape this direction. These changes aim to balance sustainability, fairness, and long-term ecosystem growth for everyone using Gnosis Pay and Gnosis Chain.
Since the cashback budget is fully funded by Gnosis Ltd., no further DAO proposal will be required for this phase.
