GIP-138: Should Gnosis DAO fund the maintenance of node-sentinel.xyz?

although I don’t regard me as a key member I can confirm. And I like the bot very much.

I am going to vote for this proposal. I don’t see it as a competitor to beaconchain, more like a different tool. Can’t compare something the scale of beaconchain to the OP’s project.

The proposal is very fair, as far as amounts are concerned and even the way the OP suggests it is paid out. I like the 35k retro payment plus GNO staking rewards with the DAO keeping the principal.

As a representative of @BreadchainCoop

We are voting in favor for this proposal. We see it as a usefull tool and enhances the managing of validators in addition to Beaconchain’s service.

Furtherore, the funding model is also well aligned with GnosisDAO, Gnosis Network and the GNO tokens usage.

The proposal has passed.
Thank you all for your support and feedback :heart_hands:!

Hello all! At NodeSentinel we are working on a new dashboard for validators https://v2-node-sentinel.vercel.app/.

The idea is to focus the information on operators rather than on individual validators. This is the first demo version. All data is mocked except for the feedback button in the header, where you can provide real feedback. We would love to hear your opinion.

Bravo NodeSentinel! Great to see.

Hi @nicosampler, I just noticed that:

  1. Node-sentiel doesn’t seem to support validator consolidations
  2. Still uses gnosischa.in, which is no longer available

Can we get this updated? If you need any help for the consolidations, just let me know.

The v2 looks great by the way. Do you have an ETA already?

  1. Yes, you are correct. v1 is in maintenance mode, all the development effort is dedicated to v2, which will include a section to show consolidations.

  2. Oh that’s right, I’ll update the link reference, thanks for reporting.

v2 is planned for Q1 2026.

Sorry for the late response. I missed the notification.

Hello all!

As 2025 wraps up, we’re happy to share some updated stats on NodeSentinel’s adoption:

155 active users
Up from 94 — a 65% increase in node operators relying on us.

71,475 unique validators monitored
Up from 60,249 — a 19% increase in validator coverage.

107,028 GNO in tracked stake
Up from 85,000 — a 25.9% increase in total stake monitored.

746 subsidized claim transactions processed
Up from 650 — a 14.7% increase in automated reward claiming activity.

We’re also excited about what’s coming next. The indexer v2 version is nearly complete, we’re polishing the final details.

In the coming weeks, we’ll release new endpoints providing validator-level insights. Community help in testing and validating this data would be incredibly valuable, as v2 will rely on its accuracy.

Regarding uptime, we had a few minor issues, all resolved within a few hours thanks to quick support response times.

As mentioned before, v1 is in maintenance mode while we dedicate all our efforts to v2. The upcoming version will be stronger and will include alerting for service health, making it more resilient for everyone.

We wish you a great end of the year and an even better start to 2026! :blue_heart:

Hi, do you have news regarding node-sentinel? It still doesn’t work with consolidated validators amongst other things, and we haven’t had any news in 2 months :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello Philippe

I’ll be pushing an update during this weekend :eyes:

Hello community  !

I want to share some progress on NodeSentinel V2. Take a look at the video.

A complete rewrite of the whole system is almost complete.

What this means for the operators using our tool:

  1. Web version
Now we will have a web version. If you do not want to use Telegram but still want to check how your validators are performing, you can simply use the web interface.
It will create an ephemeral user session where you can load your validators and explore the data. The data will persist throughout sessions.

  2. Telegram mini-app
This web app will also be used as a Telegram mini-app.
For users using Telegram, it will no longer be necessary to open the dashboard in an external browser. It will run directly inside Telegram.

  3. Clusters
We are introducing the concept of clusters.
If you have validators distributed across different physical machines, you can create one cluster per machine and load your validators there.
If one of the machines goes offline, you will immediately know which cluster is affected.

  4. Validator oriented explorer
The new web dashboard also works as a validator focused explorer, providing much more data about validator performance.

  5. Performance
Previously, the system generated stats by iterating through all validators of each user, user by user.
Now we use a different approach that aggregates stats for all registered validators in a single operation, significantly reducing processing time.

  6. Data persistency
We are still testing this, but we are optimistic that we will be able to store at least 1 week of full validator data. This will allow us to show detailed validator information such as attestations, rewards, and other performance metrics.

There is still work to do, but the hardest part is already implemented.
Right now we are focusing on monitoring data consistency, since the system now performs a lot of aggregation and compaction across different timeframes such as hourly, daily, and monthly.

If everything goes well, in 7 to 10 days we will release the web version shown in the video in beta, open for anyone who wants to try it and provide feedback.

Hi, when do you expect the beta to be available? As far as I know, consolidations are still not working in the current Telegram bot.

Hi @filoozom

Hi. Yes, it is already live. It has been shared on the Gnosis Chain Discord and also on the NodeSentinel Telegram. I forgot to share it here. There are already a lot of users using it, and they have also provided feedback. This is the URL: https://gnosis.node-sentinel.xyz/

I’m finishing the notifications feature and hope to have it ready pretty soon. That’s the only feature missing before integrating it with the TG version. If everything goes well, the migration will start in approx. 10 days.

hello all :waving_hand:

The V2 of NodeSentinel has been running for 1 month now and is quite stable. To start using it, you need to talk to this bot https://t.me/gnosis_nodeSentinel_bot and load your validators.

Two important considerations:

Alerting is not yet implemented. It will be available during the weekend.
There are some sections where data is not yet available. It will be added progressively.

Please pay special attention to all the values and metrics, and if you find something that doesn’t match, don’t hesitate to ping me on the NodeSentinel Telegram https://t.me/node_sentinel or in the validator chat on the Gnosis Discord.
