I have initiated and signed a tx to ad your address (gno:0x60E84F25A15afFb3E47750F1B25039e5Af126c0E).

Also I detected that I made an error when adding @erst before, I added the address (0xba9A3c0a22bAebE8c4926227BdE32d6EdC0D5d28) cause it was shown as the address that initiated the input in the swapr pool (0xb59d592e531373a6576af2f2f37a72d28c2fc6e06f002882b469171a41510b66) but the controler of the safe is 0x5FAB7834ce6a1Df09FBAca2BbF23efaA8fEd5A4C

Therfore I also made tx to delete 0xba9A3c0a22bAebE8c4926227BdE32d6EdC0D5d28 as owner and add 0x5FAB7834ce6a1Df09FBAca2BbF23efaA8fEd5A4C.

Please could someone from the owner list check, and if it’s correct confirm the tx within the safe (Safe – Dashboard)?

Great idea, and lot of text (as for every good idea). I guess you already compared it to early Ripple vision, and approach which Stellar wanted to continue. Could you highlight a link to it? If there is no yet, would be nice to see such comparison done to be able to delve smoother.

Hi All, love the idea and want to participate but don’t know anyone who is apart of the program to get the 3 referrals.

Is anyone able to help verify me?
I work in Web3 and can share a bit about myself in private i that helps

Trusted you!

We have an exciting update: it is now possible for everyone with a Circles accounts to mint “HoG” = “Human of Gnosis Circles” - those are regular ERC20 tokens so you will find it on places like Cowswap but one first place that accepts that is dappcon - where you can buy a Dappcon ticket.

Thanks Martin!
Very cool to have one of my referrals come from you!

you’ve got another trust :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Hi @jbradach and/or @5pence.eth …seems @cloo needs a third trust if you don’t mind.

I’ve trusted @cloo - he should be good now.

Hey, @cloo , could you confirm you see the trust? I only see the default image on the @cloo account profile, no pic or avatar.

Thanks @refri and @5pence.eth, I just checked and have all 3, creating the wallet now

@mkoeppelmann can you elaborate on how the minting process works for HoG?

visit https://circles.dappcon.io/ while connect to the controller of you circles safe, at least this is how I did it and it worked.

Thanks @refri, that I understood, but I would like to understand how minting HoG fits into the overall Circles network.

The way I’m imagining it now is that HoG minting works like a regular business that accepts CRC for services. I imagine this “business” is trusting some accounts and then through the regular CRC trust logic, people are able to send CRC to this business.

Is the HoG minting process involving the list of known HoG accounts?
How do the individual CRC/GNO liquidity pools come into play in the minting process?
Can HoG also be burned? If so, when?

If the model that I described is the actual current implementation, and if I understand correctly how transitive payments work in the CRC network, then it would seem that the Humans of Gnosis are the ones with the most to lose.
Through the web-of-trust, their tokens will be the ones to be spent for any HoG mint, since their CRC are the ones that are accepted by the HoG minting setup.
The number of CRC these folks see in their circles.garden accounts remain the same, but it won’t be their original tokens anymore, it will be tokens from people they trust. But these tokens are of less value since fewer “businesses” will accept these tokens.

I guess I’m missing the complete picture here; or perhaps one doesn’t exist yet.
Is there a way in which these CRC would circle back to the accounts of the humans of gnosis?

@mirceanis you got it pretty right!

So yes, “humans of Gnosis” is represented as a Circles account that trusts currently ~30 people.

Here is the trust graph from you to “HoG”. As you can those in the last step (Ernst, bh2smith, …) are the members of the group.

You can find the account here (but do not send CRC to it)

Now, this account is not a regular Circles account, but instead it is a smart contract with logic behind it. It can still trust people like any other account but if it receives CRC (via regular transative Circles transfers) it can take those (personal) CRC and put them into a different contract (the treasury) and mint the equivalent amount of HoG (the difference in amounts only comes from the fact that for Circles we display we use the time circles logic (24 per day) while on smart contract level things work slightly different).

Here by the way is the “treasure contract” where you can find all the individual tokens “parked”

Now, you right, those that are group members face the problem that they end up with Circles from people they trust but that might not be group members. So they can end up in a situation where they hold e.g. 1000 Circles but can use none of those to mint HoG. Now, essentially they have 3 choices:

  1. Altruism: Do nothing about it and just be fine that they are effectively supporting the value of the Circles of the people they trust at their own cost
  2. Tit for Tat: Untrust everyone how it not also HoG member or for other reasons has desirable Circles. E.g. if someone offers something that a lot of people want for their Circles they will have no problem to exchange those Circles also back in HoG Circles
  3. Try to convince the people they trusted (and who’s Circles they now hold) to e.g. also join the HoG group (or another group). They will make their Circles equally valuable and now the person initally losing the ability to mint HoG has the ability again with the Circles they hold.

There is right now (still very experimental) a mechanism how to convert HoG back into an equivalent amount of individual CRC.

So right now the Circles economy is quite tiny. There is only a few offerings on https://market.joincircles.net/ and therefore the current Dappcon ticket sale creates suddently a big “sink” for Circles to flow to. But there are very limited ways how Circles could flow back. Ideally e.g. the Dappcon organisers could use those Circles to buy services for Dappcon. In this world those Circles would flow back into the web of trust.

We will get there

super interesting. Also love to see network concepts applied in real. In network science a closed triangle (“closure”': If A trust B and B trust C, then A can trust C ) is a predictor of reputation (and other team processes). From reading the posts in here and checking out the website this is integrated in the design (labeled as transitivity).

Would love to chat if there is an opportunity for collaboration. We (TogetherCrew) are building network graphs based on social interactions. Right now only for Discord, but are working on integrating other tools (e.g., Discourse). Unfortunately, I keep getting an error when trying to upload a screenshot of our community’s network graph.

Right now we’re looking into reputation scores, and researching how to best compute them, and how to display them (private vs public). I see a connection between reputation and trust score, which could be helpful for Humans of Gnosis.

just bought two of my own ubi circles and incresed the value so much…seems ofc more to the gno appreciation that is reflected in the UI only after a tx happens;-)

Indeed - what is happening now is that “Human of Gnosis” tokens are very cheap.
However - all the individual tokens (refri, Martin, … tokens are very expensive as they are all backed by GNO that went up ~3.5x)

What people could now do is:

Buy “HoG” tokens and redeem them for the individual tokens and than trade the individual tokens for a profit.

To redeem “HoG” you can load the “HoG treasury” into the Zodiac Exit app like this: Zodiac Exit App

Next you connect with a wallet that holds “HoG” - via Rabby that can also be directly your Circles Safe. Now you can “redeem” HoG for a portion of all the different CRC the treasury holds. You can see an example tx here where I redeemed 10 HoG for (in total) a little over 10 CRC

Tips and tricks if you actually want to do the arbitrage:

  1. redeem with tokens directly into a Circles Safe as you will get a lot of dust
  2. if you want to e.g. get refri or Martin Circles - create a new organization (you can do it via “Circles.garden”) that only trusts Martin or refri. Send Circles from your account to that account - the pathfinder should find a way to convert all the tokens (including the dust) into the token you want. Those you can now take to Swapr or Cowswap and trade. For that you might need to load your “orga wallet” into Rabby and import your Circles key into Rabby.

@mkoeppelmann did something happen with the Swapr pools? The pool I created last year now shows 0 unless I’m connected with my Circles profile address. When connected that way, I see this:

None of the account analytics or pool stats seem to be working on Swapr, either, and I can’t view the pool history within their app. If I look up the contract for the pair on gnosisscan.io, the initial GNO in the pool appears to have been gradually arbitraged over time.

Good for them, I guess. It’s disappointing, though, as I would have preferred to use the GNO to run another validator in this case. It’s unfortunate that Swapr now seems to be abandoned for the most part.

Edit: Also, Swapr no longer works as a custom Safe app.
