Should GnosisDAO…Allow the NFBeez team to use the Gnosis logo within the project ?

Hi all ! Billyjitsu from the NFBeez project (a small project within 1Hive). I’m in the process of building a new NFT project called “The Cube” which would showcase many of the Dapps/communities/guilds that live on Gnosis chain.

In short, holders can claim “a cube” and burn them to generate a new token. The new token will randomly reveal a new NFT showcasing the logo and the metadata explaining the Dapp/community/guild/project within the meta data (approved by each group) before launch.

Doing this project, I have gotten to connect and chat with other projects that the space that I had no idea existed in the ecosystem. I’m hoping to get more eyes on these projects as well as the more established ones.

There is no request for funds, just asking permission to use to logo to represent Gnosis chain. I actually requested the logo on the gnosis discord and was given assets but with conversation with Safe it made me realize I may not have permission from the DAO. So formerly requesting. (I’ve already had the artist make a rough draft layout:

Thanks for posting this, makes me aware that I have to read up a bit more about legal issues regarding DAOs. Also I am not sure who has a say on this, is it really the DAO or Gnosis Ltd? Whatever, if it comes up to vote I will vote for.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, the support from most communities I have reached out to has been great and supportive. Just trying to do it within the right channels.

Hey Billy -

I can’t speak on behalf of the DAO but the Gnosis Chain brand assets are open and available to anyone who wants to use them.

What’s the difference between Gnosis DAO assets and Gnosis Chain, aren’t they both the same logo.

It’s a good question. They look the same but have a different color scheme.

Generally a logo with the same design but different color would not require additional permission.

I get that. Just trying not to step on anybody’s toes when doing a fun promoting project. I’m under the assumption that it’s cool for me to use the Gnosis logo for the project and will proceed moving forward with it until I hear otherwise
