Our delegation is excited about the opportunity to join GnosisDAO, where we hope to contribute significantly to one of the longest-running DAOs in the ecosystem. We have a dedicated team of SEEDLatam members, passionate about Gnosis and committed to governance activities.
The main objective of this delegation will be to maintain active and meaningful participation, contributing to the growth and evolution of GnosisDAO and GnosisChain, entities that deeply resonate with our values and principles.
Our delegation will include our members @fei, @pedrob, @ministrodolar, and the entire SEED team at disposal as well as other Gnosis consultants necessary for the comprehensive elaboration and analysis of proposals.
What is SEEDLatam?
SEEDLatam is an organization dedicated to promoting knowledge and critical thinking about Web3 through education, community, and active participation in governance in order to generate a positive impact in the Latin American region.
To achieve this, we focus on two fundamental pillars: governance and education. Both are addressed from a community-centered approach. Through governance, we aim to promote the participation and activity of different people, entities, communities, and institutions that intend to contribute and commit themselves to GnosisDAO.
Our focus extends beyond Latin America; it is not solely about giving voice to them but rather about amplifying the voices of any emerging community. We aim to replicate this same motivation for socio-economic regions facing similar needs. The scope of our initiative is not confined to a specific geographic location; rather, it seeks to address the common challenges and aspirations of diverse communities globally.
Meanwhile, in education, we continue to foster critical thinking with content to enrich knowledge and encourage more individuals to actively participate in the Web3 ecosystem.
As a delegate platform, SEEDLatam will work with its communities and also with anyone who wants to collaborate to coordinate a credible representation of all those truly interested in the future of Web3 and Gnosis from the perspective of our region.
How we work
The members selected to be part of our delegation will collaborate both directly and indirectly with other SEEDLatam members. Any decisions made by this delegation regarding governance will be thoroughly discussed and communicated to all stakeholders through our discussion channels on Discord and Telegram. We are committed to expressing our principles and rationale in a clear, transparent, and detailed manner in this forum.

Our delegation will do its utmost to represent and embody our values in governance:

Decentralization: Gnosis is one of the most decentralized and credibly neutral blockchains and all of our initiatives and proposals will align with this same principle. Along with this position, and as the Gnosis ecosystem continues to mature and be driven by its community, we will collaborate in the creation, iteration, and improvement of governance processes to ensure broader participation and that the system remains secure.

Growth: We will promote and support all initiatives that enable the growth and adoption of Gnosis’s ecosystem. Emphasis will be placed on ensuring that all growth initiatives are reliable, secure, and sustainable over time.

Security: we will always make sure that no DAO decisions will jeopardize the security of the protocol and thus harm users.

Ethos and support in Latam: We will actively contribute to the governance of GnosisDAO and the Gnosis ecosystem throughout Latin America. We look forward to working with other interested delegates to promote the Gnosis mission in our region and encourage others to actively participate in DAO governance.
Why Gnosis?
We have been closely following the development and growth of this exciting ecosystem, reading, researching, and paying attention. Our strong desire for the success and scalability of blockchains, along with its global impact potential has motivated us to engage and seek an active role. Joining GnosisDAO as a delegation represents an excellent starting point in this ecosystem to make a positive contribution.
Our values and ethos have a reason to be due to the real use case and solution that Gnosis offers to a problem that exists in not only Latin America but also parts of the world where their legal tender currencies and economies lack financial stability.
Gnosis is an ecosystem that provides real solutions to the problems faced by the user for which crypto was introduced in the first place: it’s secure and stable, it has the same architecture as Ethereum with the same Execution and Consensus Layer, and permissionless financial products at a very low cost. Due to our background, we perfectly understand this user, we comprehend their needs, and we want to contribute so that these solutions reach them. On another note, it is also strongly aligned with Ethereum values, as part of the “Ethereumverse”, where a great variety of products from this universe have decided to be part of this “sister” ecosystem that is Gnosis (AAVE, Maker, Uniswap, etc). Due to these reasons it has gained strong attention among builders and developers and we commit to giving a voice to these projects and individuals: showcasing, collaborating, and onboarding the next wave of users and builders.

From our perspective, some strengths make this DAO a special case:

Also, the impressive track record in incubating successful projects highlights the Gnosis’s commitment to innovation and its effective decision-making. With a keen focus on key use cases such as payments (Gnosis Pay), real-world assets (RealT), interoperability (Hashi), governance (Zodiac Module), and AI (Gnosis AI), coupled with other successful projects the VC team outperforms many.
Working on these key aspects using as a guide the good precedents in terms of project incubation and considering the excellent health of the treasury, allows us to intuit that these strengths can be capitalized from GnosisDAO, as the entity in charge of managing the resources and promoting the growth of Gnosis Chain.
From our point of view, DAOs usually face serious challenges when trying to achieve their mission, the biggest ones are related to maintaining good participation rates, active discussions, and having healthy governance and organic engagement (genuine interest) while sustaining the effectiveness of the DAO and its purpose.
That said, we believe that GnosisDAO could address these topics by empowering community involvement, overcoming voter apathy, onboarding new actors, and looking for frameworks to help streamline governance processes.
In this sense, considering that decentralization and pluralism on average are likely to outperform the coherency and focus that comes from centralization, we want to contribute our perspective and voice to encourage debate and discussion.
At SEED Latam we have a wide range of ideas to apply that we hope will increase community participation in decision-making and in turn establish clear guidelines for how the DAO will function in the future.
Gnosis Chain
Gnosis Chain has witnessed substantial growth in its ecosystem, marked by an influx of liquidity and the integration of essential projects. This momentum positions the chain as a formidable player in the blockchain space.
The chain boasts an abundant validator count, becoming the third most decentralized blockchain after Bitcoin and Ethereum. Efforts to lower entry barriers for validators showcase a strategic approach to building a secure and resilient network.
It’s a PvP world in blockchain, and GnosisChain finds itself amidst formidable and tough competition. Staying ahead of the curve needs constant innovation.
Just as we have mentioned that Gnosis has been successful in incubating very successful startups, offering novel solutions not only to the Gnosis ecosystem itself but to the whole “Ethereumverse” as is the case of Safe to give an example, we also believe that it is possible to continue on this path by promoting the arrival of builders to the chain. This will contribute to the chain being driven by the community.
SEEDLatam also believes that the ability to pay fees on a stablecoin, freeing users from holding highly volatile assets just to pay for their transactions, is a great strength that can be exploited to attract greater volumes of liquidity and bridging to the ecosystem even when market conditions are not favorable.
GnosisDAO and GnosisChain hold the foundation for substantial growth and impact in the blockchain space. Addressing existing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities will be instrumental.

SEEDLatam is a broad organization that not only encompasses communities in Latam, but also has high participation in some of the most prominent governances in the ecosystem such as Optimism (selected as Badgeholder and Grants Council Reviewer), Arbitrum (chosen as Domain Allocator in the Education, Community Growth, and Events category), Starknet, Connext and we also constitute Sovereign Finance AVC in MakerDAO.
