What is Alphaday?
Alphaday is a powerful crypto workflow aggregator that pulls in news, on-chain data, social media, web3 services and much more into one customizable UI.
The Problem
Our web3 user research showed that users are overwhelmed with information and spend hours jumping from one news source to another, from one social site to another, and usually have dozens of tabs open to stay up to date with everything happening in their favorite community.
What we want to build
We are going to build a Gnosis Community Dashboard to serve the Gnosis Community. By having all the latest Gnosis-related social feeds, blogs, on-chain metrics and access to ecosystem Dapps, community members can quickly stay informed and interact with the Gnosis ecosystem.
What does this solve for Gnosis
We are helping solve the challenges of information and experience fragmentation because the Gnosis ecosystem has just launched but early traction figures suggest Gnosis is going to be a hit with users. At some point it will have a large dev resource library and community, on-chain activity will keep growing, and this is only going to get bigger and bigger as more people join the crypto space. Alphaday aims to serve as a central point where any user (whether they are a developer, enthusiast, investor) can instantly get the Gnosis information they need, interact with Gnosis dapps, stay up to date on the latest podcasts featuring Gnosis and much much more.
Smart Contracts
We will not be deploying smart contracts but once the Gnosis dashboard goes live, is used by a growing number of devs and community members and we are sure of good product-market fit, then we will integrate Dapps deployed on Gnosis into Alphaday.
An example of such an integration is that currently we’ve integrated the Uniswap widget into Alphaday so users can easily swap tokens from within their Alphaday dashboards. We can expand this to include many popular Gnosis Dapps.
Growth Metrics
Since launching Alphaday in August 2022 we’ve been growing 50% MoM and have been adopted by the communities of large-cap projects like Aave, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Dfinity, Zcash, and many others. We believe the Gnosis ecosystem is large enough to warrant its own Alphaday dashboard.
We launched our public beta in August 2022 and have been growing ~50% MoM and currently have 20,000 MAU in June. Average session time per user is 9 minutes and retention rate across 1/7/30 days is 56%/53%/50% as measured by Hotjar. We are happy to provide this info to you. As we are not a dapp, we do not have on-chain data on Dune.
Competition
No other project has tried to aggregate users’ entire workflows into a single easy-to-use experience. Dune/Nansen focus on on-chain data, Messari focuses on investment research, Zapper and Zerion focus on portfolio tracking etc etc. Alphaday from the ground up aggregates every single crypto touch-point whether it’s consuming audio and visual content, using DeFi dapps, collecting NFTs, or reading DAO discussion forums into one ‘homepage’.
We are aiming to be the de facto homepage for all crypto users. People use Alphaday to stay up to date with their favourite crypto projects, listen to podcasts, do research, participate in discussions and much more. Other competitors are all competing within much narrower niches. We get their services and integrate them into Alphaday so users don’t have to jump from one service to another, it’s all available on Alphaday.

We are backed by Hashkey, Signum, other VCs as well as Ethereum KoLs including Ethereum Foundation members.
Roadmap
Our workflow for building the Gnosis Community and Ecosystem Dashboard is as follows:
- Our team creates a list of all the sources of information relevant to the Gnosis ecosystem (we usually collect 30+ sources including official blog posts, social media, discussion forums, podcasts, etc)
- We build a draft dashboard that is composed of the widgets we think best serve the Gnosis community Gnosisd on our experience building for other projects.
- We share the dashboard with the Gnosis community and/or team and we collect feedback.
- We change & iterate Gnosisd on the feedback and once we get final approval from the community and/or team we publish it.
- We also do social marketing campaigns to promote the dashboard.
- Optional: We create a Zealy campaign to try to boost early user adoption of the Gnosis dashboard.
- We continue to maintain, curate, and develop the dashboard continuously.
- If we get any early traction on the Gnosis dashboard we can immediately start to build more Gnosis-exclusive widgets.
Note that the above roadmap is for the Gnosis dashboard exclusively. Alphaday as an app will be developed Gnosisd on its own roadmap.
Open Source
Most components of the frontend are free but there are some off-the-shelf code we used from various services that we were not given permission to open-source and therefore those are still closed-source. Many of the widgets we deployed (ie uniswap widget) and data from the API are freely available on the internet.
Deliverables and Milestones
We would like to create a Gnosis ecosystem dashboard that aggregates the following information into a single community dashboard:

A feed of all news mentions of Gnosis from coindesk, cointelegraph and 20+ other news sources aggregated from across the internet.

A calendar containing all Gnosis events including Gnosis Governance votes, meetups, hackathons with Gnosis bounties, AMAs.

Podcast feed containing the latest appearances and interviews given by Gnosis team members.

Youtube stream containing educational Gnosis content.

GNO market price chart, and a Uniswap widget (directly integrated using the Uniswap API).

Gnosis Docs directory.

Integration with Gnosis Governance Forum to show the latest and trending discussion topics

Discord & Reddit Integration to show a feed of latest discussions.

FAQ, GNO tokenomics information.

Developer tools, API’s, bounties, funding/grants, documentation, security audits, tutorials, and any other resources that can help build with Gnosis.

Gnosis Careers integration to show the latest open jobs listed on Gnosis.

Gnosis ecosystem TVL data, imported from DefiLlama.

Gnosis metrics including transactions, number of validators, and other metrics pulled in from Dune Analytics.

A widget featuring the Gnosis roadmap with all the descriptions and links included.

Links and descriptions of Dapps, bridges, DAOS, and other projects and platforms around and within the Gnosis ecosystem.
We should be able to build and deploy the above dashboard within 2 months so if this grant is approved we want to launch the Gnosis dashboard by early November 2023 (tentatively).
Thereafter, we will maintain & curate the dashboard on a daily basis, as well as improve the functionality and availability of features in our application as a whole.

Budget Breakdown
2,000 USD upfront costs for development including integrating the discussion forums, blog post, social feed, jobs listing, TVL and other on-chain metrics.
500 USD per quarter for 4 quarters (2,000 USD) for maintenance including having an Alphaday content analyst quality-checking the dashboard every day and ensuring the Calendar widget is up-to-date with latest Gnosis events, all news mentions across the internet are captured by the dashboard, any updates not automatically captured by the Alphaday aggregator engine is manually added to the board, and other maintenance tasks.
In addition to maintenance, we revise the dashboard to see if any of our newly developed widgets/features can fit in. We’d prefer it if we can keep contact with one team member for quick feedback on these changes.

Founders
The founder, Deniz Omer, has been involved in the Ethereum space since early 2016 and joined Kyber Network in 2017 as Head of Ecosystem Growth before quitting to start Alphaday full-time in 2021. Previously he worked at Thomson Reuters for a decade building financial products that rivaled the Bloomberg Terminal. He is currently also a Venture Partner at IOSG.VC.
His co-founder, Felipe, has also been involved in Ethereum since 2016 and was a Developer Advocate at Pegasys and Consensys before quitting to work full time on Alphaday.
