I’m curious about how people choose a mobile wallet for Gnosis Chain.
Beyond sending and receiving assets, which features matter most to you?
Open-source code
Self-custody
Clear transaction previews
Reliable WalletConnect support
Gnosis token discovery
Built-in swaps
Cross-chain swaps or bridging
Fiat purchase options
Hardware wallet support
Privacy
Recovery and backup options
Are there any Gnosis-specific problems that existing wallets still handle poorly?
I’m especially interested in practical experiences, such as confusing transaction details, missing tokens, unreliable dApp connections, bridging difficulties, or features that make you trust one wallet over another.
Please feel free to mention which wallets you use and what they get right or wrong.
Thanks, this is exactly the kind of practical issue I was hoping to learn about.
To clarify, is the main problem that Android wallets no longer recognize the Nano S over USB, or does the connection work but fail when selecting Gnosis Chain or signing a transaction?
Would reliable Nano S support over USB be an important factor in choosing your mobile wallet?
@Yassas — I’ve noted reliable Ledger Nano S support over USB on Android as a concrete requirement. Thanks for confirming how important this is.
@SCBuergel — when you mention Gnosis Pay support, which parts matter most: viewing card balances and spending activity, managing the card, or moving funds between the wallet and card? For privacy, would optional diagnostics disabled by default be acceptable, or would you expect no analytics at all?
@ripotchefr — the NFC card-based recovery flow is an interesting approach. Would you prefer it as your primary recovery method, or as an additional backup alongside a recovery phrase? What would you need to see before trusting a physical card with wallet recovery?
I mostly need to find my card details for the (not few!) websites and apps that unfortunately can’t access OS-stored card data. Secondly it’s swing my balance and topping it up and third prio is past txs for me.
IMO opt-in diagnostics are totally ok but not opt-out.
