This is the suggested template for new GIPs that are propose changes in the DAO

Executive Summary

This section should provide a brief overview of the proposed governance/administrative/treasury changes. It should describe the reasons for the changes, the goals and objectives, and the benefits of the proposed changes.

Introduction

Please give an overview of the area of subject within the GnosisDAO that should be changed. Include challenges or issues that will be addressed by this proposal.

Proposed Changes

Please outline the specific governance/administrative/treasury changes that should be changed. Include why and how you want to change the current structure of the DAO.

Impact and Benefits

Please summarize the expected impact and benefits of the proposed governance/administrative/treasury changes.

Implementation Plan

Please provide a detailed plan for implementing the proposed changes, including timelines, key milestones, and any necessary resources or support.

Risks and Challenges

Please identify any risks or challenges that might be associated with the proposal. If possible outline strategies for mitigating or addressing those risks.

Team/ Organization/References

Name the team members or organization behind this proposal. Please include reference or a portfolio of your prior work. Here you can also state any references of other DAOs that implemented such changes and how they affected the DAO.

Conclusion

Here you can summarize your project or include anything that wasn’t mentioned yet and is important to understand the GIP.

2. Funding - Rewards/Reimbursements

This is the suggested template for new GIPs that require funding for reimbursements or reward programs.

Category

Funding - Rewards/Reimbursement

Executive Summary:

This is a brief overview of the funding proposal. It should highlight the key points, motivation and objectives of the project. Please outline which problem you are addressing and why. Include how this will benefit the Gnosis (or Ethereum) Ecosystem. In case of a reimbursement - Please summarize the exploit that should be reimbursed and how the reimbursement will benefit the broader community.

Specification

Specify the reward program/ reimbursement plans you are suggesting. Please outline how those different mechanisms will help the broader Gnosis Ecosystem. The specification should be detailed enough to allow for it to be reasoned about by participants in the GnosisDAO.

Rationale

The rationale fleshes out the specification by describing what motivated the design and why particular design decisions were made. It should describe alternate designs that were considered and related work. The rationale may also provide evidence of consensus within the community, and should discuss important objections or concerns raised during discussion.

Budget

This section outlines the project’s financial requirements, including expenses such as personnel, materials, equipment, and other costs. It should include a breakdown of all expenses.

Milestones:

Projects that ask for more than 50k in funding are required to provide milestones.

According to those milestones payouts will be done. For rewards or reimbursements please provide different program phases.

This section should detail the program’s expected timeline, including the start and end dates and key milestones along the way. This can help the community understand how the project will be managed.

Phase 1 - Outline the first phase

Success metrics - Please define the metrics by which the community can determine the success of this phase of the project.

Time and Price Estimate - How long will the first phase run and how much funds should be distributed.

If phase 1 didn’t result in the aimed goal the consecutive phases should be reconsidered and adjusted.

Phase 2 - Outline the first phase

Success metrics - Please define the metrics by which the community can determine the success of this phase of the project.

Time and Price Estimate - How long will the first phase run and how much funds should be distributed.

For programs that require less than 50K we ask you to provide the information for one phase.

Evaluation

Please state how the project’s success will be evaluated, including metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and impact.

Please include reference or a portfolio of your prior work. Here you can also state any references of other DAOs/projects that implemented such a reward system and how they affected the DAO/project.

3. Funding - Service Agreements

This is the suggested template for new GIPs that require funding for maintenance work or other recurring services.

  2. Service Scope - Describe the scope of the service, including any limitations or exclusions that apply.
  3. Service delivery - Give an overview of how the service will be delivered, including any key processes, procedures, or technologies.
  4. Support - Provide a brief description of the support services that are provided.

Pricing and payment

Please list an overview of the pricing and payment terms for the provided service. Outline the financial requirements, including expenses such as personnel, materials, equipment, and other costs.Services will be disbursed on a regular basis. Please define the frequency of your payments and include the corresponding costs for that time period. We recommend payouts on a quarterly basis.

Service Terms and Exit Strategy

If applicable the duration of the service agreement. Please outline the terms and conditions for exiting the service agreement, including the circumstances under which a party may terminate the agreement, and any other important details.

Team/ Organization

This section should introduce the key members of the project team and their qualifications, highlighting their experience, education, and other relevant details. Please include reference or a portfolio of your prior work.
